Katelin Wilcox has some things to say to you.

I mean, I'm sure she would anyway but she does for sure right now because she responded
to our Inside Island Get-To-Know-An-Actor Questionnaire Extraordinaire!

Q. Role in Island
A. Julia

Q. Where did you grow up?
A. Columbia, South Carolina

Q. Where did you go to college?
A. University of Notre Dame (Go Irish!)

Q. What is the funniest part of Island?
A. My favorite is the balcony scene - Ross and Cristina have some funny name for it, like "the double reverse Romeo de Bergerac scene" or something :)

Q. What about your character do you relate to the most?
I can definitely relate to Julia's frustration about ever meeting a great guy (until I met my wonderful husband of course!).

Q. Funniest/Most Interesting/Downright hilarious onstage moment?
A. This wasn't during a show, but during a post-show discussion.  We had done a production of Midsummer for young kids and were having a Q&A with them afterwards.  One little kid, probably about 8 years old, raised his hand and said "I did a Shakespeare play in school!"  Thinking they probably did Midsummer or Comedy of Errors, or one of the more "kid-friendly" shows, we asked him which one.  He said "King Lear!"  Taken somewhat aback, we asked what part he played, to which he cheerfully replied "I played Gloucester!"  The image of an eight year old kid playing Gloucester in King Lear still makes me laugh a little bit.

Q. Do you know any good limericks?
A. I prefer sonnets :)

Good answers, Katelin. Good answers.

Come back soon for another round! Huzzah!
